Voicemail Not Working On iPhone : Solved

Voicemail Not Working On iPhone: You can’t get visual voicemail to work on your iPhone? One of the most common problems is that your voicemails or transcripts of your voicemails don’t show up. Or it might seem like all of a sudden your voicemails are gone.

You may be able to see your voicemails, but they might not play. After an iOS update, you may find that your voicemail stops working for no apparent reason. This article tells you how to find and fix problems.

Here are a few things you can try if you’re having trouble with your iPhone’s voicemail.

Please note that you can use visual voicemail if your carrier supports it. In the US, most, if not all, carriers support this feature.

If someone calls you, can they leave a message on your voice mail? If not, go to Phone > Voicemail to set up your voicemail. Another problem is that your voicemail inbox might be full or seem full. You may have to get rid of some of your voicemails.

Voicemail Not Working On iPhone

Open the Phone app again

You might be having this problem because the Phone app isn’t working the way it should. You could try restarting the phone app to see if that helps:

If you have an iPhone X or later, go to your Home screen and swipe up from the bottom of the screen. If this is a different kind of iPhone, press the Home button twice. This will show you how to switch apps. Swipe left or right until you find the preview of the Phone app, then swipe up on the preview. By doing this, the Phone app will close.
Now, open the Phone app again and check to see if you can see your voicemails.

Reset your password

Try changing the password for your voicemail. This is easy to do on your iPhone. How to do it:

  1. Tap Change Voicemail Password after going to Settings > Phone.
  2. Type in a new passphrase.
  3. Tap Done. You will have to put in the new password again. Type again, then tap “Done.”

Sync your iPhone

Make sure that your iPhone’s iOS software is up to date. Update iOS to the most recent version. By going to Settings > General > Software Update, you can update your iPhone wirelessly.

You can also set up automatic updates by going to Settings > General > Software Update > Automatic Updates and turning on Automatic Updates.

Airplane Mode

Turn on Airplane Mode on your iPhone, wait about a minute, and then turn it off. In Airplane Mode, all of your device’s wireless functions will be turned off. Your problem might be solved by turning on and off. If that doesn’t work, try the following in this order:

Activate “Airplane Mode.”
Restart your phone (see the next section about how you can restart your phone).
Then, if your phone is on and Airplane Mode is on, turn it off now.

Restart your iPhone. Here’s how to turn on your iPhone again:

If you have an iPhone X with iOS 11 or later, press and hold the side button and either the volume down or volume up button until you see the red slider. Slide the bar. Wait about a minute, then press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears.

For other iPhone models, press and hold the side or top button until you see the power off slider. Then slide the bar. Wait until your phone is completely off, then press and hold the button on the side to turn it back on.

Cellular connection

Make sure your iPhone is connected to a cellular network. If you see a “No Service” message, read this article. To work well, Visual VoiceMails need a strong cellular connection. This is simple to check. Turn off Wi-Fi on your iPhone by going to Settings > Wi-Fi, then make a call. If the call goes through, your cell phone connection is good.

You could also try these things:

Cellular Data should be turned off in Settings > Cellular >. Hold on for a minute. Then switch it on.
Take out and put back in your SIM card. The SIM tray needs to be opened. To do this, put a paper clip in the hole in the tray. Move the paper clip slowly towards the phone. This makes the SIM tray open.

Carrier settings

Change the settings for your carrier. To find out if your iPhone needs a carrier update, go to Settings > General > About. If there’s an update for your carrier, you’ll see an option to update. You’ll get a pop-up window asking if you want to update. Tap Update.

Carrier updates are updates that your carrier sends to your phone to add new features or make it work better.

Reset network settings

Change the Network Settings on your iPhone. Go to Settings, General, Reset, and then click on Reset Network Settings. Please keep in mind that your network settings, such as your Wi-Fi passwords, will be wiped out.

Call voicemail directly

You can also call voicemail to hear what’s on your voicemail. Here’s how to do that with an iPhone:

Start up the Phone app.
Tap Keypad.
Hold down the 1 button. This will send a message to voicemail. You can check your voicemails here.
